I want to change patches mid song for this VSTi but it won’t accept bank changes so it only has 128 patches via midi.

I can access all of them with an automation lane set to program list but I’m having trouble selecting them. There are so many that when I try and draw a node to change voices I run through so many with a mouse movement that I can’t get the one I want. I’ve tried making the lane as large as it can get.

I should be able to push the write button and record when I change patches but that doesn’t work for some reason. I’ve tried every way I can think of, write button on the VSTi, write button on the automation lane, etc.

I’m stuck.

Any ideas?

Still using SX3, is this any different in 5? Thinking seriously about it.

---Yes there a LOT of difference between SX3’s automation and the new automation features in C5. Many automation issues noticed previously were in fact addressed in the C5 release.
---Ever thought of simply inserting program change messages directly in your MIDI track, exactly where you want them, by using the List Editor instead?? Can’t see how much would be gained here by using automation instead, but perhaps you have your reasons. Either way, there are more direct ways to achieve the same thing..............frank
