Hi, Does anyone have an MW10 or MW12 usb mixing desk? I’ve had mine for a a while (along with my MO6 and Cubase AI4) but I’m having a problem… I recently got some new VST instruments, but I’m I can’t seem to pick up MIDI in Cubase. Does anyone know if the desk can convert audio to MIDI (as there is no MIDI ports on it) or do I need to buy a MIDI cable? Would a usb cable be enough from the host port on the MO6? Any help would be really appreciated! Thanks |

There are no MIDI ports on the MW10/12
And from your post, I understand you dont know what MIDI is.
But the problem is, I neither have the MO6 or the MW.
But this is what I did for my XS. Go to http://www.yamahasynth.com and look for downloads for MO6. I searched for XS.
1. Download and Install YAMAHA USB MIDI Driver
These must be installed in the same order, or the setup might not work.
And in my XS, I remember having made some change in the set up. I changed MIDI to USB. Earlier it was mLan. So I guess there is some change that you have to make on the MO also.
If all these goes well, you have your MO almost ready.

And yeah I forgot
MIDI IS NOT AUDIO
MIDI is just a set of commands and notes.
