If I understand your question correctly, yes, of course you can. Play instruments are just like any other instrument...you send MIDI data from a MIDI track to them to trigger the sound, so data in that MIDI track can easily be edited, and notes that trigger articulations easily added or changed. Often one will simply play and record MIDI data for a phrase or whatever, then go into an editor and add the notes that will trigger the required articulations. This concept is extended much further in C5 by the addition of VST Expression maps...something some of us are trying to create successfully these days :) . Articulations can even be added now in Score. Cheerio.............frank |

FrankE, thanks for the reply. I have one more question for you and then I’ll leave you alone. Can I use the Steinberg Key for East West software, or do I NEED an iLok key? Thanks again |

An iLok dongle is required. You can buy one when you order any of the Play Libraries. Cheerio.....frank |

I got my Cubase Studio 5 yesterday and I haven’t encountered any problems at all yet. I upgraded from LE4 and it’s really great having all this extra content. |

Hope you...and the Dukester who has kindly shared his thread with all of us :) ....both enjoy your new versions of Cubase. But most of all, I hope they make you more productive if that is your goal, and that they add to your enjoyment of the recording process.................frank |
