PROBLEMS ARE BACK ,THEY ARE now HAPPENING when I’m saving sound’s into mediabay and or importing different voice libraries all random times.

By the way saving each sound 1 at a time in mediabay is tiresome and really could use an automated feature for this!! Tagging is enough work already!!

Anyways I think this has alot to do with the MR816CSX loosing connections,I’ve never used firewire before this unit,I’ve only owned Pci which is a hell of alot more stable so it seems..’
I’ve done all the obvious IRQ sorting and configuring, and this is STILL HAPPENING!

Is there anyone else with this setup noticing the loss of connections?

I’m using a Texas Instruments OHCI IEEE 1394 connection with brand new FW cables,so what gives? Is this a Steinberg MR or Yamaha XS issue?

Bobby - You have the US Marketing Director from Yamaha offering to help you, and if necessary, to send someone to your location for a house call. He has to beg you for contact information, and you continue to post here.

No offense intended, but this seems to me to be a little crazy on your part.

I actually have another person from Steinberg offering help ,no offense to Athan, but he doesn’t seem to understand troubleshooting this issue to well,he claims it’s my cpu,but never has admitted there could be an issue with the drivers , he won’t,I will though. They acted like there was nothing wrong with mLAN either go figure :] I’m waiting on a call from the marketing manager @ Steinberg.I actually found a big bug last week, that NO ONE HERE/entire internet seemed to even mention so apparently I may have more info then some here would want you to think.. lol Crazy right, who is?

If you have Cubase 5,MR 816CSX,XS RACK with mLAN/yamaha fw driver connected and your not having these issues, then speak up,if you don’t then you probably won’t understand whats happening.Till then I remain on the defense.I’ll post back when I get a better answer, till then if Athan wanted to contact me,he could.I’m not going to keep calling them, when in fact my contact info wasn’t lost by the marketing manager from Steinberg! Go figure. Many cellphones ago? Maybe you should respect a contact and put it on a laptop/ for better file management.. Oh this is Yamaha,I forgot!
