5pinDIN has reached the milestone of 10,000 posts here at Motifator.

That’s 10,000 posts of selfless help, written with love and patience.

5pinDIN has always been very generous with his time and sharing his seemingly endless expertise (which extends far beyond the topics covered by Motifator).

His dedication to Motifator has been exceptional.

To celebrate, could I propose that 5pinDIN be given a reward of perhaps a Jedi Knight status, or a status of his own choosing?

I’m sure I speak for everyone who reads and uses this forum when I say thank you ever so much for all your help 5pinDIN.

5pinDIN, you are a diamond.

Is there such a thing as Jedi Uber Knight?
Just plain Jedi Knight won’t show his uniqueness.

Well done and I hope there will be a reward/honour of some kind! :-)

I have just to say many thanks to 5pinDIN, he gave me several advices, always polite with everyone, his knowledge about motif is amazing. I think that this post MUST HAVE thousands of thanks for him, even from Yamaha. Without him motif wouldn’t be a so great keyboard…

I love this post! 5pinDIN has selflessly offered support and assistance to an uncountable number of musicians.  A heartfelt thank you. I believe a new status is in order as well.

Over the years, you are the one constant member I heed advice from.  I don’t even have to ask questions.  Most of the time, if I need something, I just usually search it and you have already covered the topic in detail.

I don’t even know where you get the time to answer all of the questions other that that you are a genuinely a great person.

Congratulations, and may you reach 20,000, if I am still living God willing.

Thank you for your continued support for these great keyboards from the original Motif to the Montage.

Sincerely,

Kenny

Thanks, “keyman@usa.net” and KMKKEYS.

As to where I find the time - retirement, and lately it being either too cold, rainy, or hot to do the work I’d like to outdoors.  ;-)

I’ve always had an eye for those who selflessly contribute to the needs of others. In this regard 5pinDIn has certainly earned my upmost respect for the time and effort he has contributed to us in the generous sharing of his years of knowledge. Rest assured my friend, your efforts will be appreciated for years to come.

Thank You
Stone

Some little known facts, well less than little known facts:

1 - Whenever I look at anything 5pinDIN has posted, I hear William Daniels as KITT reading it to me in my mind.

2 - I see his 5 pin DIN avatar as a kind of face at times, with the locator hole or whatever it is at the 6 o’clock position as a kind of despairing mouth.

3 - 5pinDIN counted to infinity… Twice.

4 - If you can see 5pinDIN, he can see you. If you can’t see 5pinDIN, you may be only seconds away from having something fixed.

5 - Maslow’s theory of higher needs does not apply to 5pinDIN . He only has one need: Helping people.

I know you’ve helped me on multiple occasions, and reading your responses to others have also been veeeeery helpful!!!!

Actually Yamaha should be sending you a great big thank you, because your advice has probably helped to sell units!!!!  And keep owners from getting rid of instruments that they didn’t understand.

Cheers

Thanks lastmonk. Primarily I want to help Motif users, and hope to see Motifator continue. Yamaha may have mixed feelings about me, since while what I do may indeed help their sales, I occasionally criticize them for certain policies. I own several pieces of Yamaha gear, but I have no connection with the company and my loyalty isn’t unconditional - I’m not a “fanboy”.
