I’m making a new instal of XF6 plus FW16e expansion board on a Windows 10 machine/Cubase8.

In the W10 Sound etc control panel, when I try to access the FW driver I get ‘failed to open Control Panel’ even though in the instal unistal page the FW driver is listed

I uninstalled and re-installed the FW Driver with restart between but it still isn’t in the Sound video and game controllers list.

I’d appreciate any suggestions on how to problem solve this

Which version (number) of the YSFW driver are you installing?

win_fw_v166x64

That’s the correct version for 64-bit Windows 10.

A “Failed to open Control Panel” message indicates that the computer isn’t seeing the FW16E. That can be due to a few possibilities, including defective FW cable, incompatible FW chipset in computer, FW port in computer not enabled.
