Volume presets(output) on voices mode in Motif XS8 are really low compare to performance mode.I usually end up using maximum volume on the main slider for XS and maximum volume on my JBL LSR monitor speakers in order to hear it.I am hooked up from analog output R/L of Motif XS8 to my analog R/L input of JBL LSR 4312SP which has multiple connectivity is also hooked up to each L/R analog of JBL LSR4328.I am also using a Hum eliminator on each out put from XS to my Subwoofer. I am using a TRS cable to connect the Motif XS to my Subwoofer. I also hooked up from mlan FW of XS to my Mac OSX.Mac and VST sounds are loud enough, but the voice mode on XS is way too low.I have done factory reset multiple times and that did not help.I also raised the Volume of each instrument in motif xs program each time and stored it which is not much change in overall, and it tend to go back to how it was previously.Could you help me let me know what am i doing wrong.

Welcome to the forum. I’ll try to help, but some details are needed… What position is the input sensitivity switch on the LSR4312SP and each of the LSR4328 set to - out(-10dBV) or in(+4dBu)? Exactly what is the “Hum eliminator” you’re using? |

It’s on (-10dBV).The hum eliminator(Ebtech HE-2 2-Channel Stereo Hum Eliminator) was placed between my motif XS audio R/L output and R/L analog input of JBL LSR4312SP. I tried w/o it but there is lots of pops and hisses from ground loop which completely took care of it.I also have some other issue which is I need hooking up my computer(i mac) to the addt’l input of JBL LSR4312SP but I can’t get the sound out yet(using 1/8"cable to R/L XLR input:-( |

OK.

I looked for it, but Ebtech doesn’t give a spec for signal level loss through the HE-2 transformers. For now, I’ll assume it’s minimal and not an issue. By the way, the XF has unbalanced outputs, and cables from its output to the HE-2 input can be short TS-to-TS type. Whether using them for that connection (rather than TRS cables) would make a difference depends on the input circuit of the HE-2.

Let’s leave that for after we (hopefully) resolve the problem in your original post.
More questions:
2) Which Meter Display LEDs are lit on the subwoofer? 3) Which Meter Display LEDs are lit on the main speakers? |

I’m glad that the speaker level for the XS is improved now. As far as the iMac goes, are you using the headphone jack for output? If so, is the jack working with headphones? If there’s a problem using headphones, there are a lot of hits from Google if you search “imac audio jack not working” (without the quotation marks). |
