Have you considered getting Mutec Boards?

uh… er.... this is the first I have heard of them. Price is a little better.

Are they reliable? Can I count on them?

We are going out for three weeks opening for Foreignor and I can’t afford any failures.

thanks, Eric

I’ve had the 1GB one for a few years now, since I bought my MoXF minus a month maybe. Haven’t lost anything yet as far as I can tell.
There’ll be a few threads here and in other forums were they’re discussed, so pretty sure it would’ve been mentioned if they were unreliable.
The actual components are most likely the same so…

Good luck with the tour!
Not my cup of coffee, but that’s quite an impressive band to tour with.

I haven’t seen any complaints about the MUTEC flash modules - but anything could fail, of course, including the Yamaha branded ones. Careful by-the-book mounting of the modules seems to critical to reliability.

Hopefully you’re opening for Foreigner.

You might want to update your Wikipedia page…
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Monroes_(American_band)
Note: The forum software is apparently buggy and removes the parentheses in the link. Anyone wanting to see the Wikipedia page, don’t click - copy and paste the link in your browser.

Have a good tour. Just make sure you have a valid passport or other acceptable proof of US citizenship. Getting into Canada probably won’t be a problem, but reentering the US might be without proper document(s). You wouldn’t want to miss the US performance dates.  :-)

Ah! Before I saw these responses here I ordered Yamaha. I am under a time crunch as my new used XF is on its way, and my old XF needs to go into the shop for PB wheel repairs. However, now I can tour with 2 in case of any other failures.

Yes, I the wiki pages is empty now, odd, it wasn’t last time I looked.

The Monroes are not opening, its PFX (Pink Floyd Tribute) which I just joined and I am not in this video, I am honored to play with such outstanding musicians. Great touring production.

The Mutec option for a 2 gig is intriguing… as I didn’t know that was an option!

The Wikipedia page for The Monroes is still there. However, the link from my post doesn’t work by clicking on it - highlight the full link (including parentheses), copy and paste it into a browser.

OK, thanks for the clarification. You might want to update your profile here on Motifator.

Also, perhaps your user name could now be EricPFX. :-)

Yes, you could have up to a total of 4GB in an XF.
