Hi. This is OT but Ill post it anyway.

We are a couple of Swedish musichans that are trying to put together a piano compare mp3.

We now have 50 pianos and more to come.
Software and hardware.

All who helps get credited in the text but theres no money involved.
We all use the same midifile and disable the reverb and save the audiofile as 44,1/16bit normalized to 0.

We need examples from Ronald FA and Fantom, Korg Kronos, Krome and Yamaha Moxf/motif expansions thats not free (Epic grand, gospel musichans etc). We have My Moxf, a Montage, nord, ez Keys, true piano, Strindberg, Alicia Keys etc.

If you want to helps us with this please let me know and I will direkt you to the midifile. All piano examples uses exactley the same midifile for a real compare.

Let us make the biggest pianocompare ever made and show the power of the moxf.
Have a nice Day! 😀

I have an XF and an XS, and a few commercial piano libraries. I might be interested in participating in your comparison. If you’d like, send me a PM with the link to your MIDI file.

What bit rate will you use for the MP3? MP3 is a compressed and lossy format, even at 320kbps. Making the 44.1kHz/16-bit 0dBFS-normalized files available might be helpful for those who want to do critical comparison.

By the way, some comparisons have been done in the past. It can be interesting to hear the results, and to read about the pitfalls that were encountered…

Best of luck with your efforts.
