Can I use PLG100-DX and PLG100-VL in Motif-Rack? Or I can only PLG150-DX and PLG150-VL use?

Re: PLG100DX,VL PLG150DX,VL What is the difference?

PLG150 Boards are built with a RAM bank that can store your custom Voice data in the Motif Rack The PLG100 boards do not have the ability to back up the custom Voice banks in the Motif Rack (you will have to load them each time from the computer Editor). If you have PLG150 Boards the sounds will be backed up in FLASH ROM.

The PLG100-DX will not be able to play all the Presets designed for Modular Synthesis Plug-in System products (MSPS products include the S-series, the CS-series, the Motif series).

The PLG100 series boards were designed for use in XG tone generators, not products like the Motif Rack. XG products do not store Voice edit data - it is loaded in each time from an editor or sequence data.

In the Rack you have a PLUG IN SAVE / LOAD function in UTILITY - which will not work with PLG100 boards. It keeps your custom sounds (64) for each board in battery backed memory.

Other than that…
