Im able to construct my songs with ease in Pattern Mode. And I understand what the Song mode is for.

One Person told me that Im supposed to make the Pattern or drums in Pattern Mode, THEN go to Song to construct the melody and add it with my drum pattern I’ve created in THAT mode.

Is this correct, is this how everyone else does it?

What would happen if you just did it all in Pattern Mode?

If you like working in Pattern Mode , it’s fine.  At the end , just chain your pattern together and then you convert them to Song , just for play back.  Some people like to think linearly like tape recorder so they like song mode.  Some people like to think in section or loops so they use Patten mode.  That’s why there are both and you can easily go back and further between the two.
