I am ready to pull my hair out! I am using Motif8 and Cubase. I am using Cubase as the sequencer and the Motif mainly as a tone generator/controller. Everytime I try to record any midi from the Motif it plays back from Cubase with midi feedback. I have removed the midi thru on Cubase but that doesn’t stop it. I am using USB midi but the same problem occurs with standard midi.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The alternative route is to go into the Mo and turn the LOCAL to OFF, this disconnects the keyboard from the tone generator and should work OK.

Of course if you are gigging with your board a lot, make sure you turn LOCAL back ON before the gig!
