hey guys i am new to the motif ES 7. i am working in perform mode and i have layered a bass with a piano. can someone walk me through On how to split the the sounds so that the bass is on the left and the piano on the right, having more keys for the piano sound instead of it being split down the middle. also, how to send the bass sound through 1 of the assignable out puts so that I can run it to a bass amp.

Thanks

Re: assginable outputs issue

For information on setting up your two part performance, see my post in this thread . The split point for the two parts is specified via the NoteLimitH and NoteLimitL parameters for each part (as described in that post). (Note that while this post is written with respect to the Motif classic, it applies to the ES as well.)

Routing a part to the assignable outputs is done by setting the OutSel parameter in the [PERFORM]-->[EDIT]-->{part number ([1] - [4])}-->[F2] OUTPUT-->[SF3] SELECT dialog. Note that any parts routed to the assignable outputs will not be present in the main mix (on the Main L&R outputs). Also, since the system effects (those generated by the Chorus, Reverb and Master effect processors) as well as the Master EQ are applied to the Main Mix, parts that are routed to the assignable outputs will not have these effects applied.
