Can anyone tell me how to lay down a voice track with my ES 8?

Peace.

Re: Human Voice Tracks on The ES8

See my post in this thread for information on recording vocal tracks into a song. While written for the Motif Classic, this post applies to the Motif ES as well.

You might also want to check out this thread for information on how to apply insertion effects to the A/D input… this is a capability that was added to the Motif ES that the classic didn’t have.

A couple of other notes:[list][*]In order to record samples into the Motif ES, you need to have purchased and installed user sample memory in the ES. Information on compatible memory and how to install it is on page 289 of the Motif ES Owner’s Manual.

[*]The Motif ES does not supply phantom power to its audio input. Therefore, if your microphone requires phantom power, you will need to use an external power supply or pre-amplified.[/list:u]Regards,
