I have had my motif 8 for about 5 years now. One of the keys has started all of the sudden being harsh to press and it releases slower than the other.

What do you suggest I do? take it to a music store or can I fix it myself?

A sticky key is probably caused by dust.
Put the vacuum cleaner on it with a narrow nozzle and full power.
Meanwhile move the key up and down.
