Im sequencing with my MPC and want to use the arp on a sound in SONG/MIX mode.  Is this possible?  As when I turn on the arp with a sound from within the mixer there is no effect.  Im on a Motif Classic.

Re: How to use the arp. on sounds in MIX mode

The arpeggiator can be used in SONG MIXING. It requires five things:
1) Setup the arp parameters
Press [MIXING]
Press [EDIT]
Press [COMMON] a/k/a the DrumKits/Favorites button
Press [F3] ARP

2) Select a PART to respond to the arp parameters
Press a Track select button [1]-[16] to select the PART edit parameters
Press [F1] VOICE
Press [SF2] MODE
Turn the ARP SWITCH = ON for the PART you want to respond to the arpeggio you setup

3) Set the Motif to slave to MIDI clock
Press [UTILITY]
Press [F5] MIDI
Press [SF3] SYNC
Set MIDI SYNC = MIDI

4) Turn the main ARP ON/OFF button ON

5) A Note-on event sent either from the sequencer you are using or by touch the keys… Your external sequencer must be running for the ARP to get the tempo.
