Re: Cubase 5 announced Congratulations, Peter, for being the first person to post the link here! Folks living in the UK, Europe and on the east coast of NA definitely have a time advantage over those of us who live on the west coast and are still asleep when you ‘early birds’ arise! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif alt= /forums/images/icons/smile.gif alt= .................frank |

Re: Cubase 5 announced Do you think Cubase 5 will be better than the new Pro-Tools 8? I’m starting to get comfortable using Cubase AI4 and am seriously considering getting Cubase 5. A lot of my friends use Pro-Tools and swear by it with all of the “industry standard” talk. |

Re: Cubase 5 announced
Re. ProTools and Cubase, in a way they have different strengths, and ProTools does not compete with Cubase in the same way Sonar or Logic do. Many composers and studios use both, and they can compliment each other. I assume you are considering ProTools LE 8 and not the full version of ProTools 8, which can bring with it some very hefty software and hardware purchases??

Looks like February for availability (although I guess regions may vary).
