Re: Where’s she Hiding

Hammad,

I have listened to both versions. As music I like it very much, however I do not see or feel the difference for the girl or the murderer in it.

The choice and clearity of the sounds are great. Oh I forgot, film music for particular shots/scenes are very short, often not more than a couple of seconds. Just a thought.

Re: Murder In The Dark

Hammad,

don´t think, because there are only a few replies, your music is bad.  ´

Both tracks are great compositions!

Man, you had an very short story, I told you in an e - mail, only a few words, and you made this music: The story is the music, the music is the story! If I would have told you a short story about a cat, running through the garden, you would have composed it also. This are only a few people able to do.

Last week you made “Smoke on the water”, this week this. Every time a new sound, new combination of voices.

Congratulations and thank you for your succesful efforts to entertain with music and not every time composing the same song with the same boring instruments.

Re: Murder In The Dark

Thanks Jan,

it was kind of a challenge to myself, i had the concept and scene in my head as suggested by Michael. Why is it long?/ because the tail of events in suspense movie/scene are long to create the feeling of mystery.

XS has a huge choice of voices for this kind of music in it’s voice banks. With XS you can do it all i guess. One stop solution for making music.
thanks again

cheers

Re: Murder In The Dark

Special thanks to you Michael for making me make this music /forums/images/icons/smile.gif alt=

your ideas about film music and scenes. i am sure i am gonna fail at some point. LOL

Cat running through the garden ..... ?? LOL

Remember you wanted me to make a scary foggy dracula music and i sent you “Chill down the spine”, it’s not on motfator, yet. someday after i post a few more regular music i’ll post it.

As far as getting replies, not too worried. I can neither stop nor persuade anyone to post replies on my songs. All i want to share my music, good or bad with all of you guys.

thanks to all of you.

cheers and keep in touch. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif alt=

Re: Murder In The Dark

Hammad,

No, No. It was certainly not too long. I only mentioned it. It was not ment as critisisme. I love film music.

I did make some music for some amateur movies and I have learned that scenes in a movie must be not too long to keep the speed in the movie. LOL.

Meaning I used a clock running synchrone with the movie speed while I was testing my composed music, and had a hell of job to keep the music following the scene sequence.

Making film music is very difficult and time consuming

Re: Murder In The Dark

hi jan,

you made film music ? Was that film based on jazz sax player /forums/images/icons/smile.gif alt= lol

only kidding ....you are one of the greatest minds at work here on this forum. We just want to hear a little bit non trumpety, non saxy tunes from you. I know tyros 3 has a large variety of voices and styles to choose from.

Re: Murder In The Dark

Hammad,

Yes, I made film music, but just for fun and for some of my film amateur friends, incl. some weird music sound effects. Timing in film music is every thing.

OK. I will try. LOL. Just know I am a sax and clarinet player of origin. In the past, most of the times I played music written by others.

Re: Murder In The Dark

thanks jan

i got your XOs file, listen to your song on my XS system, lot better sound then my pc speakers LOL

I added a little bitty reverb to the main sound of sax and it gave it more depth and studio feeling.

thanks for trusting me enough to fiddle with your song

cheers

Re: Murder In The Dark

LOL I listened lastnight, in the dark, all alone in my studio, late, and you captured the experience to the tee. well done.
Hey, they don’t make horror flicks like they use to back in the day.

I guess real life is scary enough.

Thanks for sharing your work
