Hi,

Its been sometime that I have not posted anything in this forum!

Well I recently bought a macbook pro.. as it has a firewire 800 I was wondering what kind of cable do I need to buy to connect my Motif ES mLan with the macbook pro? Does the mLan support firewire 800 at all?

Regards,
Mohammad

Re: Firewire 800

As I understand it, Firewire 800 interfaces can also negotiate and operate at the lower (400) rate. So you should be able to simply connect the Firewire 800 port on your computer to the mLAN16e installed in the Motif ES via an appropriate 6-pin (Firewire 400) to 9-pin (Firewire 800) cable - such as this one .
