I have recorded drums midi events into Cubase with my ES8 and I would like to play the drums back using a VST drum sound. Cubase SX3 comes with a plug in...LM7 which has lame cymbal sounds in my opinion.

Re: Cubase SX3 VST Drums I doubt without a dedicated sampler that you can load different cymbals into LM7. That said, I don’t use it, so I’m not 100% confident on that. I use BFD and have not been thrilled, but just upgraded to BFD2 which I’m loading this weekend so we’ll see. I have heard good things re: EZ Drummer… |

Re: Cubase SX3 VST Drums
Rather than trying to bang your head against the wall with a free plug-in in an old version of Cubase, I would strongly suggest that if you are interested in better drum sounds, you look at something like EZDrummer, or if you feel you want to work with samplers, Kontakt and Halion are available for purchase and will still work in SX3. Basically, you can’t do what you are suggesting at present with what you have..............frank

Re: Cubase SX3 VST Drums Well, I kinda of thought it was a long shot. I think I will try the EZ Drummer. Thanks for the input. |
