Currently using an XS Rack, Dell Laptop and M Audio Keystation Pro 88 controller to front small band using midi backing tracks with Cubase AI 4.  Two questions:

1.  Will this setup work with a Mac notebook swapping out the Dell laptop.
2.  Will I have to red all of the existing Cubase projects I have worked so hard on?

Thanks.

Re: XS Rack, Cubase AI4 and a mac notebook.

It will work flawlessly. All you have to do is, install Cubase AI 4 on the Mac.
If you didnt know, AI 4 is just one install copy or say only one copy can be active at any given moment of time. So you have to install and activate Cubase AI 4 on the Mac. Install Editor and Studio Manager. ( Studio Manager first, then the editor ). And also Extensions for Cubase DAW.

Thats all you need.

Then transfer all the CUBASE DATA from DELL to a folder on the Mac.By saying all Cubase data, the folder to which you save all your Cubase Project files (.cpr files ) and also the Audio / MIDI data of each and every project.

When opening these on the Mac, Cubase will may ask you to locate these files. Once you locate them, it’ll open up perfect.
