My n12 is hooked up to a MacBook Pro.

Once I switch on my n12, I click on that Yamaha mLan Manager (on the menu bar) or whatever and connect to n12. A Blue light starts blinking and once its connected the blue light stays on, until I disconnect.

This process goes on fine for about 6 - 7 times of connection / disconnection.
That is to say I have 6-7 sessions working very fine and stable.

And then I come back next day to start another session and I do the same process. But this time the blue light stays blinking and says It could not connect to the n12.

I restart my Mac, and again, I get connections for 6-7 times.
This process have been looping continuously since the day I got it set up with my Mac.

It has not been bothering me much coz, all I have to do is restart the Mac.
And that too not very frequently or something. So I never took into account.

All I wanted to know is whether I’m alone on this ? or everyone else are getting connections consistently ?

Re: A doubt about n12 mLan

Keith,

Happy New Year first.

I have no probems sofar. I also switch my XS8 and N12 on first and then activate mLAN manager on the toolbar. Sometimes I noticed you have to wait a little bit longerm because you see it mLAN manager Icon blinked one time and after a couple of seconds it stabilised again. Than the connection is stable and you are allowed to startup Cubase or whatever.

Happy New Year ! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif alt=

Glad to know that yours is stable.
Mine becomes stable after about 4 blinks, but when it blinks for longer it always comes up with “ Connecting to n12 failed “ and option to RETRY or CANCEL.

If I retry it, it still wont work. And thats when I have to restart it. And then I get connected perfectly for about 6-7 times.

Re: A doubt about n12 mLan

Actually its not at all a problem if I shut down my Mac after use and starting it up at each session. But the problem is that I never put it off. I just close the screen after use. I haven’t shut it down permanently other than while onboard a flight.
