Re: Disco Ball

Hi Hammad: Happy new year! Great music!  Did you only use the sequencer of XS to record? This sounds very very good!

Re: Disco Ball

thanks joop and micheal,

yes it’s 100 percent XS with factory sounds, 100 percent XS sequencer, trick is to make some patterns and jumble them in a chain and then convert it to song and add a few more tracks. Very easy. I also have a hard rockish track ready i was tossing between both of them and decided to post this first.

cheers

Re: Disco Ball

Hammad,

In spite of it is not really my preference of music, still I think you did a great job.  It sounds good. You have made good use of the XS. I know how difficult it is, I just start to learn how to use those pattern things. LOL.

Still I prefer to hear the more melodious music from you.

Re: Disco Ball

It is astonishing, how perfect your sound is without any “mastering” and additional equipment! Compliment!

Re: Disco Ball

Thanks jan,

XS is a one stop music production monster. First reason i choose this board is it’s sound quality and the room for expansion in all of it’s features. Learning XS is like getting a dgree from university LOL and to make things worse the manuals i got with this were all in German. I have the englsih version in pdf format on Pc though. Patterns are useful in Techno, trance, hip hop but in other genres it makes the song little mechanical to my taste so i prefer the good ol’ way of recording everything real time. Most of my tracks were made in real time on the fly.

Thanks Micheal,

Mixing board and the re-sampling in XS is totally amazing. Yamaha deserves all the compliments in this regard.

But hey i am always fishing for compliments so don’t ever stop LOL

cheers
