for some reason when the usb is connected to keyboard and computer the display only shows ---- when it should read “connect”.  I can’t figure out what the problem is.  Any advice?

There are two USB jacks: one is “TO DEVICE” and the other is “TO HOST”

The TO DEVICE jack is where you would connect a USB Drive… for storage purposes for example. A thumb drive or hard drive. This is where/when the “Connect” option shows in the screen. That is the USB To Device Status indicator:
“CONNECT” appears when it is
possible to access the USB TO
DEVICE terminal (page 67).


The TO HOST jack is where you would connect to a USB port on a computer. Where the computer is the host and the MM6 is the guest.  If you want to connect to the COMPUTER you will need to tell us what it is you are trying to accomplish. But the USB Status indicator is not involved in connection to the computer.
