I have a PATTERN created using Sections A thru L.  I would like to save this file and import this data to Cakewalk.  On the MOTIF, there are a couple of options.  I can save the PATTERN as a .X0E file but Cakewalk is unable to import this and so this is useful only for archiving as I see it.  The other option is to save it as an SMF (.mid) file.  We all know that Cakewalk can recognize this file.  However, in the SAVE SMF window I can only save one section at a time.  I guess I can save each section as its own file and import them individually.  Is there a way to save the entire pattern as a single SMF?

Re: Pattern File Handling

You could create a pattern chain, convert that to a song and then export the song as a single standard MIDI file. For information on pattern chains and converting a pattern chain to a song, see pages 213-216 of the Motif XS Owner’s Manual .
