Hi,
I purchased MacBook Pro with X OS on it. But, when I try to install the “Tools for ES” CD which came with my Motif ES6, the Mac reports that the CD is made for classic Mac environment. in other words, I can’t use the disc on OS X. Does anybody know it Yamaha has upgraded the CDs that came with ES so they can be used on the latest Mac OS?

Everything that is on the Tools For ES CD is outdated anyway. It includes patch editors, USB-MIDI drivers, etc. and you can download the latest versions for OS X from the Yamaha website,

You want to go to the following site, the official Yamaha download site (English), and find the most recent tools for the Motif ES. Please be forewarned that you want only data that is ear-marked for the “Motif ES”, as you will see data for the original Motif, Motif-Rack, and Motif-Rack ES also (which you can ignore):

You want to get:
Studio Manager
Multi-Part Editor for Motif ES
Voice Editor for Motif ES

The other things on the CD-ROM were a WINDOWS only (now discontinued) sequencer called SQ01, Acrobat Reader (a PDF reader program that you do not need), TWE (which is a Windows only Wave Editor program) and the USB Driver which has been updated - so you can get the latest Yamaha USB-MIDI Driver here:
