Hey folks!

First time MOTIF user here ... proud owner of a Fantom S/X/G ...

I don’t have the typical newbie questions, I think… I got it kind of figured out, but my only problem is this (and any/all help is appreciated!)

When I sync my ES6 (slave) to my MPC 1000 (master), it works just fine until it starts to loop around one or two times and then I notice a couple (sometimes just one) tracks on my MOTIF completely playing out of sync while others appear to be just fine. I’m not using MTC, I never have (MIDI Clock) so Im not sure it’s an MTC offset issue or anything ... especially if some sounds seem play in time…

Any ideas? Ive searched documentation and google and have came up with nothing ... I’d hate to be limited to four bar loops that I have to restart each time ... if this is the case, I’ll have to stick with my Roland boards.

Thanks in advance!

Re: MIDI Sync w/MPC not holding ...

You didn’t say how you set up your ES? If you want ES to be MIDI slave, you should at first set this in Utility mode:

[F5] MIDI, [SF3] SYNC, MIDI Sync - > MIDI
[F5] MIDI, [SF4] OTHER, MIDI IN/OUT -> MIDI
