All I found in the book is “there is no direct way to create a user arpeggio. First create a phrase in a ... or a song track, then use the proper song job to convert it into an arpeggio patern” but I couldn’t find any such job.

Re: How can I create a user arpeggio?

It’s there.
From SONG..
Press JOB
Press TRACK [F5}
Then scroll down to PUT TRACK TO ARP
There you will find some parameters that you will need to address to Save that ARP.

This info is based on the ES.I suggest when you post in the future or you can even set this up in your profile, let us know which axe you are working with. It will be real helpful in giving you assistance.

Hi Earl, thanks for your help!
I’m using Motif 8 (2003). I’ll follow up your pointer when I get home in the evening.

Re: How can I create a user arpeggio?

The command for converting song data to a User arpeggio is the same for the Motif Classic as the ES. (There are a few additional parameters available in the ES.) You can find out more about this job on page 203 of the Motif Owner’s Manual
