Has anyone encountered distortion on the assignable output channels?  Our sound guy isolated it.  Apparently, when playing practically any voice/patch with the main volume slider maxed out, the main outputs are clean but the signal from either assignable channel’s output become distorted.

Anyone aware of a special setting that needs to be tweaked?

Thanks!

Re: Assignable output distortion

The assignable outputs are not supposed to be affected by the main volume slider… this sounds like a hardware problem.

Re: Assignable output distortion

B-Webb is right. The “Main Outs"faders donot affect the Assignable Outs. I would check the channel fed into the board you are using and the Voice or Performance Volume settings as well in the ES. You might also check your cables.

I use Assignable Outs and a AIEB2 in Pattern and Performance Modes for one thing or another and have not had that issue. Before you address it from a hardware defect,I suggest you examine the areas I outlined.
Just a thought.........
