MM6 was launched on Jan 2007.  Its coming to 2 years.  Does anyone knows when will Yamaha launch the next generation of the MM series synths (i.e. 61 keys synths) ?

How long will one series last?  2 - 3 years?

Following the logic, MM is short of Mini Motif, so the successor will be based on currenct motif XS or future motif successor. It usualy takes 2 years… Also consider the financial crisis, Yamaha won’t run through risks unless the situations become fine…

BTW, maybe if the MM6 is not so popular, there’ll be no upgrade! This happened many times with Yamaha products such as (QS300, AN1x, CS6x, RS7000, QY series etc)…
