Re: Motif7 with no sound! is it broke??

It could be something as simple as Local Control being OFF.

You can do a Factory reset and this will restore the unit:
Press [UTILITY]
Press [JOB]
Press [ENTER]
Press [INC/YES]

Let us know.

Thanks for the Help! But i opened it up and well The sound broad or whatever you call it. Well the ones with all the plugs and midi, its cracked. Well my question now is, is it savagable? Can i buy a used one? or how much do they cost out the factory?  Im uploading some pic for you all to see.

A cracked board should be replaced.
But I wonder what it will cost to bring the machine to a healthy state again.

You don’t mention where you are based. I have found Yamaha spares in the UK to be most reasonable and helpful. If you are not competent to do the repair yourself, you’ll really need to take it to a repair centre, preferrably a Yamaha authorised one.

A question in the back of my mind is how did this cracked board happen . . . Whatever did it, make sure you don’t do it again /forums/images/icons/smile.gif alt=

Cheers
