Since MM6 is from the same factory as the arranger PSRs… are the MM6 users happy with the initial touch key action for MM6?

How do the key action compare with other synths.. eg S03.. Motifs?  Are all the keyboards without weighted action similar in touch?

I thought it was a bit light.

Quality varies from one keyboard to others, even in the same brand. The keys action in the MM6 is somewhat different than MO line or MOTIF. MM6 is the “cheapest”, MO6 is slightly better and the top is of course MOTIF/Tyros line. Weather you’ll feel comfortable or not with it is something that you have to determine yourself, but I’m pretty sure that if you know how to play you’ll be sounding great (even if you are not that comfortable with the action of the keybed).

I haven’t checked on PSR’s lately, the last one I had played was a PSR-2000, and MM6 action is much better than that.

BTW, when i had my mm6, i was happy with it. (MO6 is back!!!)

It’s been 2 years since i layed my hands on an mm6. The action was mediocore at best, but it all comes down to the price. The Fantom G is worse than mm6 for sure. The action on the MO series is in the same ballpark with mm6, and ES series is worlds apart for sure

Current PSR’s, S03 & MM6 all have the same keys, light action… While Motifs, Tyroses got better keys (each key is totaly independant & individual + metal contact instead of rubber in PSR models)
