Smartmedia cards are retardedly expensive since they’re essentially obsolete now. Will an xD to SmartMedia converter be recognized without problems by the ES8 so I can update my OS? Thanks very much! |

Re: Will an xD to SmartMedia converter work with ES? Don’t forget you can use USB storage devices, such as jump drives, with your ES as well. |

Re: Will an xD to SmartMedia converter work with ES?
I’m using SM to xD converter as soon as I have bought my ES (2007). Also, I’m using only 128Mb xD cards, due to the Motif limit (128Mb). On the market you could find mostly larger cards (>1Gb), since they are intentend for digital cameras, so hurry and buy several cards when they are still exist. Note: I’m using this adapter for autoload files only, since it is faster than USB.

The 128 Mb limit is NOT a Motif limit but an SMC limit, in effect a Toshiba (the creator) limit.

Re: Will an xD to SmartMedia converter work with E Interesting… say my xD card that I use with the converter is larger than 128 MB? Will the ES just recognize only 128MB? Thanks. |

I never tried, but those who did say you must partition 128Mb off
