I LOVE MY MOTIF 6!

I DO NOT like the SLICE function! It takes a long time (my tests show that it sometimes takes minutes not seconds to SLICE a four bar pattern)

Is the Time Stretch function on the Motif ES faster?

P.S.
LOVE THE NEW SITE!

Re: Time Stretch Question

Yamaha, I read the whole ES manual, but it doesn’t really answer this time stretch question.

Is it faster than slice?

Re: Time Stretch Question

Time stretch? Doesn’t the original have time stretch as an effect?

Re: Time Stretch Question

There are two ways to tiem stretch on either Motif or ES.  One is using the slice function and the other is using the Time Stretch insert effect.  For a really in depth description of this, try DVD 2 .  In it Bad Msiter goes through the whiole process of using the toem stretch effect to change both tempo and pitch of a vocal track.

What is Loop Remix then?

Thanks Yamaha, I guess what I wanted to know was how Loop Remix worked with Samples?

I almost bought a RS7000 last month because I think it has this feature.?

Does it work like the Sample Pad Remix in the AW16g (with tempo)?

Re: What is Loop Remix then?

Loop Remix is one of the coolest new features on the Es and it works exactly the same way as it does on the RS.  Register for the new ES DVD and soon you will be able to see it in action.
