I’m working with the motif e6 and wanted to know how to get the midi running from the motif e6 to my DAW software (cubase sx/sl). I’m using the tascam fw 1082 as my audio card and the MAC G4. I want to be able to record the midi performance into cubase. Could someone help me with a blue print of how this should be done?

Re: Motif e6 and cubase sx
You have explanations in Owner’s manual, pages 142-143. Also, you have some text written by Bad Mister in Behind manual on Motifmart (free for download). I suppose that you are impatience to start playing, so at first you should make correct conection to your computer via USB cable (see Owner’s manual) and to setup Yamaha USB driver. Then, in Cubase open new MIDI track, press record button and start playing from Motif. Be careful: you should set correct MIDI channel both in Cubase and Motif. I hope that should help you to start.
