Hello everyone, Im in multi mode with the Arp on track one
I play the sequence on my 4000 and begin auditioning sounds
on track 2 on the motif rack, as im playing sounds on my midi keyboard I notice when I hit certain keys the track with the Arpeggio stops playing...Why is this.....!!

Re: Arpeggio

Well, it depends… /forums/images/icons/smile.gif alt=

But ultimately, it has something to do with what’s going on on TRACK 1.  Nothing you can do on PART 2 can possibly influence what’s happening on PART 1.  That’s the whole point of a MULTI.  (That is, unless you have more than 1 part configured to receive on the same Receive Channel, in which case all bets are off.)

So, it depends on who you have the ARP generator configured .

Do you have ARP HOLD on or off?
Do you have a NoteLimit set?  If so, is the behavior you’re mentioning related to the NoteLimit range?
Same thing with VelLimit.

if you DO have both Part 1 and Part 2 set on the same receive channel, then things you do on Part 2 can (and will) affect the arpeggio even though it’s on a different part.

Other possibilities:  You’re dropping MIDI sync due to some way the 4000 is programmed.
You’re turning the ArpSw OFF via an event.
etc. etc.
