The outputs on my motif 6 are very noisy.  Whether I send audio out to my mixer, mbox 2, or MPC 1000, I am getting lots of noise.  Is it true that using an unbalanced cable will alleviate this problem?  This is terrible because this is making it impossible to record.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Noisy outputs on my motif 6

You posted in the MM6/8 forum - you should have posted in the Motif Classic forum.

But no matter… Source of noise could be something that you have plugged into the AD INPUT jack. We have had many users forget that they have a microphone or other device plugged into the AD INPUT jack or they left the gain all the way up and the MIC/LINE parameter set to mic

Press [UTILITY]
Press [F2] AD
Press [SF1] INPUT
Make sure that your Mic/Line is set to Line

Check the AD Gain knob on the back panel of the Motif.
