Please help me!  I have asked everybody I know and no1 can figure it out.  I recently got a Yamaha Motif ES7 from one of my friends.  Everything works perfect as far as I can see, it turns on and boots up regularly, etc.  The problem is I cannot get any sound to come out when I play the keys.  I have tried from every output and even from the headphone jack and I never get any sound out of the Motif.  What could it Be????

Did you try a factory reset?

Is the motif set as midi controller to another synthesizer?

Do you have the manual?

na i dont have the manual and i cant seem to find where to do the factory reset! i have no idea how its setup cuz i got it from some1 else who doesnt do anything on his own

It’s too big to attach.

Read page 44 for resetting the ES to its out-of-the-box state.

What’s up man?  to do a factory reset on the motif es, 1. press the utility button, 2. press the job button, 3. press the enter button, 4. press the increase/yes button to execute, then the keyboard will reset everything after a couple of seconds, then just turn your keyboard off and turn it back on and it should be back to normal!  Driza out!  peace!
