Re: headphone jack problem

Welcome (welkom?).

Please feed us (always) some more info.
Jack into the rear?
Into a mixer?
Into your PC?

Usually the jacks attract corrosion, especially the cheaper ones.

Clean it and retry.

A cable into the rear is usually under pressure,
a cable in a mixer seldom (there I had alike problems).
A PC can have several oddities.

Re: headphone jack problem

Misled by your nickname.

I think this is an electronic problem.
Remember, you can’t change hardware by software,
so OS updates can not repair a bad print.
: time for a repair shop.

Re: headphone jack problem

You were thinking right about my nickname I was born in holland my dad was in the airforce. but I was really hoping that wasn’t the case on having to go get it repaired. then on top of that where? because there is almost never a repair place that fixes stuff locally which is a real pain

Re: headphone jack problem

If you care for your instrument, always note a good repair centre around.
In the Netherlands we are almost spoiled.

And ......... you wouldn’t take a Dodge to a Toyota dealer; take care.

Re: headphone jack problem

Before you take it to the shop… try a few things:

1) Factory Reset:
Press [UTILITY]
Press [JOB]
Press [ENTER]
Press [YES]

2) test the headphones in anything else - home stereo - make sure it is not the headphones or the headphone jack.

3) plug into the headphone jack (I’m sure you checked) but make sure it is plugged all the way in… then call up a Voice like FULL GRAND
Press [EDIT]
Press [COMMON] a/k/a the DrumKits/Favorites button
Press [F2] OUTPUT
Highlight the PAN function…

Now Pan the output left (L63) and right (R63) and see if it makes a difference.

If not, what is the output from the normal outputs… (you cannot check these with a stereo set of headphones… plugging headphones into the L and R output will not tell you much...) What happens when you connect the outputs of the unit to a mixer or speakers?

Let us know.

Re: headphone jack problem

So it is now beyond just a headphone jack problem now, is that right?

Time to take it to the shop.
