Hi,

I am using a motif x8 and connecting it to a tascam us 122, the cable is set to “midi in” for the tascam us 122, and to “midi out” for the motif. When I press a key on the motif it registers on the tascam because a red light flashes in sync with my playing. However, I cannot hear my playing! I do have speakers properly attached to the tascam and the funny thing is that when I record in a midi track in cubase it records and I can hear the cubase metronome, but I can’t hear my actual playing! Also, for some reason recording directly to an audio track doesnt work! If anyone can help please post your reply, your efforts will be greatly appreciated!

You don’t mention where you have the Motif XS connected for audio. If you do not connect the L&R outputs of the Motif XS to audio inputs on something you cannot hear it.

You mention (only) your MIDI connection.
