I’m going to be picking up (probably) a Motif ES7 within the next couple of weeks, and I wondered if the Motif ES7, or any of the models for that matter, had the option to plug in a second midi controlled keyboard to the Motif and have the second keyboard powered by the Motif - in the same way that the Motif Rack would power an external midi controller keyboard.

I’d like the option of a second keyboard plugged into my Motif with 2 different sounds assigned to each one.

Is this something that can be done?  Thanks in advance for your help!

yes, you can do this.

you would have to set it up in ‘song’ mode as this is where the ES functions in a multitimbral manner.

this is a pretty good way to have two keyboards to play but without spending a bunch of cash.
