Re: sounds

While Joop is correct, I suspect that you are simply looking for additional free voices that can be loaded into your Motif XS. At this link from the MotifMart all of the Motif ES Preset voices have been converted to Motif XS format. There are also a number of free voice banks that are in Motif ES format. These can be loaded directly into your Motif XS, but due to differences in the tone generator and effects processing for these two instruments, you may need to tweak them to get the desired voices.

Regards,

Brad Weber

Re: sounds

Hi, everybody, I am a complete amateur and recently bought XS which was the dream of my life. checking the voice banks, I have not found anything similar to LASER SOUNDS - a kind of those used by J-M Jarre in Oxygen and Equinox. i was actually expecting such advanced synth to be loaded with tons of such stuff. Did anybody of you, more experienced users, manage to create such voices. Or any idea where to get those? Thanks for your valuable input

Re: sounds

The sounds you indicated are those of the Roland D-50 (a.o.).
As those are copyrighted only approaches are available.
Go to the MOTIFMART and listen to the demo’s of the voice banks for sale.

Note: my 20-year old D-10 has sounds I could never get standard from my Motif.

Re: sounds

thanks for your advise. I’ll check what’s in the shops. back in 80s we used to squeeze wonderful sounds out of Rogue Moog. never had experience with Roland D-50 or D10, which I trust must be a great synth. enjoy it
