Hi there… I am trying to connect my Oxygen controller to my ES Rack and hoping that I can change the voice selection from the controller.

If somebody can tell me if this is possible and how then thanks in advance.?

So far I can play the sounds with the oxygen keyboard ok.

You can change programs in the Motif-Rack ES by sending Program Change messages. For example, if you are in VOICE mode, a Program Change message from 000-127 will select the sounds 001-128.

If your controller can additionally send Bank Select messages you can have the Motif Rack ES switch from the current bank to any of the other banks
PRESET 1 - PRESET 6; USER 1 - USER 3, etc…

There is a convenient chart in the Owner’s Manual on page 97 outlining the Bank Select commands…

for example to select PRESET 2 sound number 1, you would send an MSB = 63, LSB = 1 and PC = 0

To recall a Preset Drum Kit sound number 1, you would send MSB = 63, LSB = 32 and PC = 0

Consult your controllers documentation on how to send Bank Select and Program Change information.
