can i bring a sample into motif thru a cd player and what do i plug the cd player into which spot do i plug the cd player into ?

yes you can...i’m trying to figure out the same thing...it is possible...i’m just waiting on a answer as well...you can get voice samples or even instruments that you want and chop it up into the motif..

You can plug the CD play to the two jacks on the back panel AD INPUT

This is covered in the manual in two sections: page 161 (Creating USER Voices with sampling) and page 242 (Sampling to the sequencer).
