Motif Blues

Ok I am on page 10 & 31 of the voice editor manual.
The diagram shows the port settings as follows:

Midi In Port: YAMAHA USB IN 0-1
Midi Out Port: YAMAHA USB OUT 0-1
Midi Ch 1
Device No: 1 Dump Interval 20
-------------------------------------------------------------
INPUT
I only have two options showing for in port,
YAMAHA MOTIF6-1 or I can choose NONE.

OUTPUT
Again only two options shows in the drop down.
Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth or NONE
--------------------------------------------------------------

This is my current settings:

Midi In Port: YAMAHA MOTIF6-1
Midi Out Port: Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth
Midi Ch 1
Device No: 1
Dump Interval 20
-------------------------------------------------------------

I always get an ERROR message thats says:
BULK RECEVE TIME OUT ERROR
------------------------------------------------------------

How or where should I have my Motif set to be able
to send a recorded song from my Motif to the voice
editor or Studio manager?
Currently my Motif is set to Song/Utilities/Midi
Is this correct?

I await any advise or recomendations.
Thanks in advance for taking the time to read
about my problem.
