I have a problem with recording. I have Sonar 6XL, edirol FA101 connected to a dell laptop by a firewire cable. I recorded some sounds on the Mo8. However, during recording and playback.. there are clicks and pops. While playback, there is a point where it stop and says dropout and no more sounds. I’ve tried to inc buffer size and added some RAM to 1.25 gig, try to defragment hard disk and still having the problem. Any advice?

Make sure your wireless is off and any other non-essential services are disabled. Your sound card should have an ASIO audio driver that came with it. If so, use that one.

Good luck . Solving pops, clicks and dropouts can drive you crazy and waste your money.The secret is usually in the settings, drivers and combinations of things running that use your computer’s resources.
