I just won an es6 on ebay with 512mb ram and the plg150dx installed for 865. I think it was a great deal but I was wondering how I will be accessing the dx7 sounds. Are they just mixed with all of the es6 sounds or are they in a seperate spot or something? The es6 will be here in a week and I want to be able to make sure right away that the plg is installed. Sorry if I sound clueless, but this will be my first workstation.

Re: Question about plg150 dx

There are 3 PLG card slots and 3 corresponding areas/banks for custom voice storage.  Also, each PLG card comes with “card voices” which are stored in ROM (see the manual for details).  Besides adding to your total pallete of available sounds, the DX voices will add to your overall multi-tibral polyphony (128 from the ES), which can be helpful if you’re sequencing or heavily layering your sounds.
