this might be a dumb question but im a ask anyways. I have Logic pro 8 on a Mac.
Basically im making beats and recording vocals, now my question is this. Im making a hot beat with like 15 different sounds. Track sounds good, blazing! Basically i mix the track and everything, but I want to record my vocalist over this masterpiece instrumental that i created. Should I record the vocals on the same project with the beat (15 instrumental tracks) or should i burn the track (mixdown the beat/sounds/instrumentals) to one wave file and then open a new project, import the beat as 1 track and then do the vocals? Then that would mean i would have to mix the beat again with the vocals… What would be the best way to do this ? I mean usually when i make a track off my keyboard...I dump as 1 track and then lay vocals , but in logic i have 15 different sounds/15 different instrument tracks , then the vocals will proly be like 25 (audio) tracks.... added to the instrumentat tracks....what do u guys think?
