Hi there. The machine is 2nd hand and although it looks like all the factory settings are in place I’ve got a couple of questions:

a) when I press shift + audition in the voice mode I can’t hear the audition phrases through the headphones. Could there be some kind of mute on? Can I check on the display? (it does play the demosongs fine though).

b) I play it with a m-audio key49e. but sometimes the sound cuts off before I have lifted my finger or the sustain pedal. Any ideas?

I hope I haven’t bought a lemon!!!

PS: Does anyone know how to get an environment for the motif in Logic 5 for PC?

you must press [SHIFT] + [AUDITION] but you must hold the Audition button down for the phrases to play. Also the MIDI SYNC parameter must be set to “internal” as the demos use the internal clock.
Press [UTILITY]
PAGE [<]/[>] to the MIDI page
Cursor Down to MIDI SYNC
Set MIDI SYNC = Internal

You can do a Factory Reset - which will return the unit to out of the box condition by:
Press [UTILITY]
PAGE [>] to “Job Sel” (Job Select)
CURSOR DOWN to Factory Set
Press [SHIFT] + [ENTER] twice.

Thanks Bad Mister!

It was indeed the MIDI Int sync!!

The cut outs also disappeared when I used a different meyboard to play in.

Seems I haven’t bought a lemon after all.
