Hi,

I’m trying to sync LP8 to the Motif XS, I have LP8 on auto sync to external MTC.

What are the required settings required on the Motif XS to become the master device ?  So far I’m not able to get LP8 to play when I press play on the Motif XS. 

I guess no sync. signal is detected by LP8. 

The Motif XS is connected to a Mac via USB, set to Port 1.

Does the motif XS send the MTC sync. to LP8 on another port, if so how do I set this up (settings for both Motif XS and LP8) ?

It can’t be done. Correction, not by the XS. There is a very recent post which deals with this issue… Logic can only be controlled by MTC, which the Motif does not transmit…

Oh, I see, so the Motif XS can not transmit MTC.

That explains why LP8 never received MTC which it needs for syncing.
